Posting Details | The Department of Nursing Science is developing and will offer a graduate program in Nursing. The department will seek accreditation/approval through the Minnesota Board of Nursing and Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The Master's degree in Nursing program will prepare graduates for certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. This innovative program will be supported, in part, by a $1.5M gift from CentraCare Health, one of the largest health systems in Minnesota. The Department of Nursing Science offers an undergraduate program within the nursing discipline and is a fully accredited member of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The four-year Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Nursing (BS), a traditional pre-licensure program, is a 68-credit major preparing caring professional clinicians for practice in contemporary health care settings. The RN-BS completion program is fully online and includes 30 upper division Nursing credits. Students with a previous AA, BS, or BA degree may complete the traditional program in less than four years. The mission of the College of Health and Wellness Professions is to prepare students to be leaders, scholars, and professionals in promoting and providing lifelong optimal health and wellness.
