Job Title: Accounts Receivables Intern

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Accounting

Reports to: Accounts Receivable Supervisor

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

This position will assist the Accounts Receivable area with their contract service invoicing process and all related Accounts Receivable activity. This position will have regular contact with the Operation, Marketing, and Accounting departments along with direct contact with customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assists Accounts Receivable in the preparation and reporting of customer contract services invoices and all related Accounts Receivable activity. Duties include:

    • Prepares and processes contract services invoices based on customer contracts and machine statistical information.
    • Works with Operations and Marketing departments to obtain timely machine contract information and maintains Account Receivable reports and files.
    • Prepares specific contract analysis as required by Operations and/or Marketing departments.
    • Prepares journal entries for billings and accruals.
    • Analyzes and reconciles assigned general ledger accounts.
    • Completes and assists with special projects and other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Pursuing Bachelors Degree in Accounting

Experience: Achieved junior status or higher. The individual shall also have completed the "core" coursework for his/her chosen discipline.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of computers and software with good word processing skills using Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills when interacting with internal and external customers.
  • The applicant will have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and compute ratios and percent's.
  • Ability to correctly make decisions involving client issues/ problems including when to escalate the problem to a more senior consultant.
