Building Principals, immediate supervisor

SUPERVISION:
None

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
  • Current Language Arts or Communications Arts/Literature license issued by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE)
Preferred
  • Previous related experience
POSITION SUMMARY:
To create a safe and caring climate and culture in which we prepare, engage, educate, empower and inspire all learners in partnership with their surrounding community to be successful in today's and tomorrow's society.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Instructional Planning and Preparation
  • Demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy
  • Demonstrate knowledge of students
  • Select instructional goals
  • Demonstrate knowledge of resources
  • Design coherent instruction
  • Assess student learning
Classroom Environment
  • Create an environment of respect and rapport

Instructional Interaction
  • Communicate clearly and accurately
  • Use questioning and discussion techniques
  • Engage students in learning
  • Provide feedback to students
  • Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness

  • Maintain accurate records
  • Communicate with families
  • Contribute to the school and district
