Location of the role is: Hybrid to Bannockburn, IL. 3 days onsite.

As a Stericycle summer intern, you'll pack a lot into 10 short weeks. You'll work hard and have lots of fun too! Key Job Activities:
  • Understanding how IT functions at Stericycle, how Project Management plays a role
  • Learning the various components of Project Management at Stericycle (Tools, Project Life Cycle, Processes, soft skills)
  • Learning about the different Project Life Cycles (PLCs) used by the PMO and following those life cycles in their own work
  • Side by side mentoring with Project Managers to learn how project management functions
  • Getting to manage their own project (PMO Playbook) and see firsthand how project management works
  • Building out a Project Management "playbook" - utilizing tools such as MS Word, Visio and MS Power Point to build a step by step instruction guide for managing projects at Stericycle
Experience (North America):
  • Current undergraduate or graduate level student, or recent graduate
  • Motivated, energetic, ready to jump into new situations
  • Prefer students entering their junior or senior years and recent graduates
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in written format and verbally
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be 18 years or older, with a HS diploma or equivalent
