Status: This is a full-time; hourly position
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 5:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Fridays/Overtime as needed

JOB SUMMARY: As the Gang Saw Operator position, you’ll be responsible for loading, setting up, operating, and unloading granite blocks to be cut into granite slabs by the automated multi-wire gang saws.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Using an overhead crane to position blocks on the saw cart
- Determining the correct number of wires to obtain the optimal yield and maintain safe rough back sizes
- Programing saws to cut blocks according to stone tolerances and production ticket specifications
- Logging square footage of wire used for each cut per department procedures
- Tracking wire footage of every wire crimp per department procedures
- Unloading roughbacks with an overhead crane
- Bundling slabs and loading them onto A-frames with an overhead crane
- Unloading delivery trucks and scanning inventory of granite blocks into JDE
- Logging inventory of new wires received, verifying they are the correct length and that a wire number has been assigned to each wire
- Operating a forklift to move blocks and slabs as needed
