Reporting to the North America Regional CAO and matrix reporting to the Global Head of External Reporting and Technical Accounting (U.S. GAAP), the Manager of Technical Accounting for North America will serve as a key U.S. GAAP subject matter expert working cross-functionally with internal stakeholder leadership. The Manager oversees the review and documentation of subjective accounting areas and any new transactions. In addition, the Manager of Technical Accounting for North America will work closely with the SOX team to ensure compliance with our SOX program. Additionally, the Manager may assist with external facing reports including the quarterly earnings release and quarterly and annual financial statements for CNH. The role is eligible for our hybrid work model working three (3) days on-site in our offices in Racine, WI and two (2) days remote/home office.

Responsibilities
    Researches and prepares technical accounting memos to support the resolution of accounting issues and proper handling of new transactions.
  • Monitors U.S. GAAP and SEC developments and leads the adoption of new accounting and disclosure requirements.
  • Ensures company compliance with financial accounting and reporting standards.
  • Provides technical accounting expertise for other complex areas including revenue recognition, leasing, intangible assets, inventory, restructuring, benefits etc.
  • Manages the reporting process for the various North American benefit Plans.
  • Maintains SOX compliance over the North American Accounting function.
  • Works closely with the Accounting Policy group to develop and maintain company-wide accounting policies in accordance with IFRS and U.S. GAAP requirements.
  • Works with the external auditors to address accounting and reporting issues, review of accounting guidance and technical memos and other matters as needed.
  • Provides formal and informal U.S. GAAP and accounting policy training to the North American Finance and Other functions.
  • Provides accounting support to the M&A team for transaction activity including assisting with financial due diligence and integration.

The annual salary for this role is $122,400 - $149,600 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA license
  • Minimum 6+ years of professional work experience including a technical accounting role in a Big 4 accounting firm servicing large, public or private international manufacturing Companies, with extensive knowledge of the financial reporting process, U.S. GAAP technical accounting, SEC compliance and financial systems.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven strong interpersonal communication skills (oral and written) to optimally collaborate with all levels of internal management throughout CNH, as well as, external auditors, attorneys, underwriters.
  • Proficient in writing technical memos.
  • Experience and success working in a team environment, initiative to organize workload, set priorities and ability to adapt to changing situations.
