Job Description

Ellumen, named a Top Workplace by the Washington Post, is a small business headquartered in Silver Spring, MD.  We provide a broad spectrum of information technology and ancillary services to government and commercial customers primarily within the healthcare delivery domain.  We are seeking a remote Instructional Designer to join our supply management team working with the Dept. of Veteran Affairs.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:  

  • Create, edit, and publish procedures, simulation, and eLearning courses and distribute content online.  Provide instructional design, development, and delivery services.  
  • Work in collaboration with functional leads and developers to develop courses and simulations for e-learning, job aids, lesson plans, training packages, and supplementary documentation to support the needs of the user community.  
  • Configure and customize templates to meet training requirements.  
  • Provide technical expertise in managing content on a multiple-server landscape, making recommendations on internal processes to manage content efficiently.  
  • Communicate regularly with end users, stakeholders, and project team author communities on new capabilities and time saving techniques for producing education materials.  
  • Perform training gap analyses.  
  • Generate reports on end user and educational program performance utilizing reporting capabilities.  
  • Please note that the duties listed above are not exhaustive, and the successful candidate may be required to perform additional tasks as needed. 


Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain government clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Minimum of 4 years working with adult instructional design (government environment preferred)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
