Our FluiDyne Aerotest Lab is seeking an Aerodymanic Test Engineer
Position overview:
Manage the test program to meet high technical standards of data accuracy and quality, achieve schedules, meet budgets, and assure customer satisfaction. Test programs involve simulation of aircraft turbofan engine exhaust nozzle systems through the use of sub scale models to measure performance.
Essential functions:
Test Engineer responsibilities include:

Planning tests, performing aerodynamic and other calculations, determining measurement techniques, supervision of test model setups, conducting tests supervision of mechanics and technicians

Computer data acquisitions, reduction and analysis, documenting tests and procedures and preparing final reports of the data

Manage schedule and budget

Build and maintain rapport with customers

Other duties a assigned
Tests/performance measurements are typically of thrust coefficients, discharge coefficients, flow rates, pressures, and temperatures.
Will be involved in a variety of other types of test programs as our customers and the market determine.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:

B.S. or M.S. in Aero (or Mechanical Engineering with fluids emphasis)

Demonstrated knowledge of compressible flow,, measurement instrumentation, data acquisition systems and computer data reduction

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Interfacing productively with marketing, design and machine shop groups

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
